After 3 years of blood, sweat, and beers, Hauntcast is finally over. It has been a difficult decision, but one that had to be made. Currently, I have to focus on my career, IT certifications, school, my DJ business and my family. Because of my obsessive personality I have focused most of my effort on Hauntcast and not on the other areas of my life and that has to change. Revenant, Shelly and other Scream Teamers are in similar situations and so, with a heavy heart, the time has come to say… Farewell.

It’s been an honor and privilege to be a part of your haunting worlds and I am extremely grateful to all the listeners, members and vendors that have supported the show in one way or another over the past three years. We couldn’t have done it without you.

Our past shows will still be available for listening and downloading for as long as the site remains active. The site may be altered somewhat in the coming months, but the shows will remain.

Thank you all again so much for listening and supporting our little show.

And, as always… STAY SCARY!

It is getting closer. We will start posting entries as early as October
15. Start putting thought into your submissions and prepare to amaze this
years judges. We are extremely excited to host the contest again this
year for the 3rd year.

We are still finalizing prizes from a couple of sponsors, but I can tell

10th. We have also posted this years trophies on our home page. Once

Run a 5K in costume… Through a cemetery… To a party at the finish. Then give the proceeds to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. October 28th will be a night of giving to charity you’ll never forget. See what this event is all about and then start planning your costume.

So much to see, you’ll forget you’re running.

Running in costume with hundreds of other charitable souls, is nothing like plodding away on the treadmill. This is 3.1 miles of people-watching delight. Join in on the most unique 5K of the year.

The gun goes off at 7:30. The start (and finish) line is at 3614 Woodburn Ave.

You will need the following item(s):

1) A corpse skulls, bones, etc.. (to corpse).
2) Large cotton balls
3) Liquid latex or waterproof glue
4) Black and brown paint
5) Wood stain

October 31 has always been the target for mischief, monsters and – above all – FUN. But this dedication to Halloween mayhem isn’t just carried out by costumed children and prank-crazed teens. From the suburbs to the cities, there’s a tremendous world of devoted adults who spend the better part of each year transforming their homes into spine-tingling, heart-stopping Houses of Horror… or at least they give it their best shot. Beyond all the fog machines, plastic fangs, fake blood, coffins and cobwebs, there’s a story about passionate die-hards who live to scare.

Magic Stone Productions and Brainstorm Media are searching for Halloween enthusiasts who go to fantastic and frightening lengths to create the ultimate homemade haunted house. If that’s YOU and you’d like to share your backyard creation with the world, this is your chance! They’re dying to hear from you. Submit your home-haunt through our online submission form and they’ll be in touch!

This is the first year HAuNTcon will be in a convention center rather than a hotel. The host hotel is the Monroeville Double Tree, 101 Mall Boulevard Monroeville, PA which will host the Costume Ball, Saturday May 5.

This location just happens to be next to the Monroeville Mall, most famous for its appearance in the George A. Romero horror film Dawn of the Dead (1978).

The National Haunters Convention will also be the same weekend, so there will be two haunt conventions in the same state on the same weekend. I don’t know about you, but I can smell the drama?

Class size is limited to 12 people per session. No children under 16yrs allowed. Ages 16-18 must be accompanied by an adult. The cost is $40 per person partners can attend for $20. Once registered you must submit your simple epitaph 1 week prior to the workshop.
